General reliability of a journal

What thoughts do people have about this journal? I've never seen it before today, nor seen it cited. - Sitush (talk) 18:50, 5 June 2018 (UTC)

Niche publisher with not a very long history, which is not surprising given the topic. The persons involved do seem to be genuine academics in the area, albeit with an acknowledged POV/approach. Seems citable to be although, depending upon the content, explicit inline attribution may be advisable. Abecedare (talk) 19:39, 8 June 2018 (UTC)

Need help with reviewing an India-related draft

I've reviewed what looks like a promising new article, Draft:Nehru and Indian Economy. I'm not an expert on Indian topics, so I'm requesting subject matter experts also take a look at it. -- RoySmith (talk) 21:16, 7 June 2018 (UTC)

Looks like WP:OR to me. Perhaps a general article like Indian economy (1950-1964) would make sense but this is pure OR. --regentspark (comment) 21:44, 7 June 2018 (UTC)
Also significant copyvio/plagiarism issues, with many of the sentences close copies/paraphrase of the cited sources. For example compare the draft's lede para as well as the Industrial policy section with this source (which would not qualify as being reliable for this topic). Abecedare (talk) 19:15, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
This looks like an essay to me and is describing the economy specifically with respect to Nehru. However, it would be more appropriate to have article about Indian economy in the 1950s. Although Nehru was the prime minister, he was not the only person who was responsible for the economic policies of the day. This would be putting undue weight. In its current form, I see the article as a personal opinion rather than an encyclopaedia article.--DreamLinker (talk) 12:52, 10 June 2018 (UTC)

Hrishikesh Kanitkar in the news

Requesting eyeballs on this BLP Hrishikesh Kanitkar, which has been in the news[1][2][3] for multiple instances of vandalism and misinformation. -- Nearly Headless Nick {c} 18:14, 9 June 2018 (UTC)

Peer Review

I've currently opened a peer review for Indian National Congress . I think the article meets the GA criteria and I'm thinking about nominating it as a GA candidate. It would be helpful if other editors could comment on the article and/or offer suggestions, etc. Thanks. Akhiljaxxn (talk) 07:17, 10 June 2018 (UTC)

I am having difficulty finding references from reliable sources about Punam Suri, although this might be because I am limited to English-language sources. Eastmain (talk o contribs) 12:09, 11 June 2018 (UTC)

Pratapgarh State (Northeast India)

Could I get eyes on this new article? Articles about very old history sourced to paper sources always put me on the alert for nonsense/making things up. It seems unlikely that this is the case here, but you never know.... Thanks, Calliopejen1 (talk) 00:58, 12 June 2018 (UTC)

Tamil transliteration scheme

Several scholarly books on Tamil-related topics use a particular transliterate scheme (like IAST for Sanskrit-related topics). For example, "Sangam" is written as "Ca?kam", Pandya is written as "P???iya", Chola is written as C???a, "Chera" is written as "C?ra" etc.

I may be wrong, but I think this is the transliteration scheme used in the Tamil Lexicon. Does this transliteration scheme have a name? Is there a Wikipedia article about it? utcursch | talk 15:39, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
